Birthday twins!!
I love this podcast so much. I play it at work and tell all my clients to listen!! Also Kent and I are birthday twins! Dec 8. That just made me love the podcast more. The sidetrack stories and dark humored jokes crack me up non stop!!
Great podcast!
My friend recommended their Ed Kemper episodes & now I am hooked. I love their storytelling, humor & banter. Definitely a 10/10!
PURE GOLD
The relationship between op and Kent couldn’t be a better match. I have cried from laughter multiple times listening to these two banter. Kent is thorough in his research and has a unique presentation of his material that keeps you engaged the entire time. I cannot get enough, love you guys and so happy to support you through Patreon.
Belly laughs and crime
Not a single episode goes by that I don’t look crazy in the office laughing to the sound of these guys in my ears! If you’re looking for more than just crazy people but don’t mind looking crazy yourself while you laugh your head off this is the place. HUGS.
Well written and researched
Kent and Op yall are the best! I love everything 11:59 but something about that redneck true crime historian I love most! I can’t pick favorites but well hugs! Thanks for all the hours of listening, keep them coming! 🖤
LISTEN
Most underrated show in the genre- this show is so well researched and the cases are presented dynamically. A couple of the cases are personal “favorites” of mine that I have read books and watched multiple docs on, and Kent still brought info I was not aware of. And I love the chemistry between Kent and The Operator, I know the humor might not be for everyone but I find them hysterical! Thanks guys for an awesome production!
Took me a minute
I first came to TCK through Dark Topic (loved Jack since Monstruo), then 911 Calls Podcast with the Operator. The first few times I wasn’t too sure and it was mostly because of Kent’s accent. The irony with that is I thought it was fake! Haha!! But along about the time you did Skidmore I was hooked and now I don’t even notice the accent. Love this podcast! And as if it couldn’t get any better, the Jason Vukovich episode blew me away! I listened to it three times because I was just absolutely in awe of this story. Keep it up! Hugs or whatever.
Really entertaining stuff…
Kent is a great comedy voice and a terrific storyteller. The Operator is a great foil to Kent’s hillbilly crassness. Not for the feint of heart, but if you like dark humor and true crime this is a great podcast! I love this guys. Glad I stumbled upon them.
Phenomenal
This is the best true crime podcast by far. Incredibly researched, thorough, and hilarious.
Love it
Hillarious. Really lightens my day and makes my accounting job bearable. When I am working on easy stuff I put on my AirPods and I am off to a better place.
Another great 11:59
Love the way Kent tells the stories. An amazing addition to the already great 11:59 setup.
Kent is a diamond
You truly don’t get much better than this. Kent is incredible and is very in touch. The reason he can be funny is because he is so aware of what is happening on the earth rn. They all are such down to earth people. Kent, jack, and op are completely different, have different views, and yet still banter and are best friends. They show that even if you have different views you can still disagree and have an intelligent ish conversation about ‘sensitive’ topics. I honestly feel like I know them after listening to their podcast. It’s by far the best money I’ve spent on patreon and I will continue to support through thick and thin.
Dope
If you leave a bad review and continue listening to this podcast for 8 months and then update your bad review just to complain about something else said in a newer episode, you’re weird and need a hobby or something better to do than leave bad reviews for podcasts you continue listening to. Kent and the Operator are so funny and insightful. I don’t agree with everything they say but I appreciate hearing a different perspective and feel like I learn a lot that way. Keep up the good work gentlemen!
Korean Beef bulgogi
Ingredients ▢ 2 pounds thinly-sliced beef (rib eye or top sirloin) - see note ▢ 3 scallions, cut into 2-inch pieces ▢ 1 small onion, thinly sliced ▢ 1 small carrot, thinly sliced - optional Marinade ▢ 6 tablespoons soy sauce ▢ 3 tablespoons water ▢ 4 tablespoons sugar ( or you can use 2 T sugar 2 T honey) Use more if not using Korean pear or apple ▢ 2 tablespoons rice wine or mirin ▢ 2 tablespoons minced garlic ▢ 2 tablespoons sesame oil ▢ 2 teaspoons sesame seeds ▢ 4 tablespoons grated Korean/Asian pear ▢ ⅛ teaspoon pepper To serve bulgogi Seoul-style ▢ 3 ounces potato starch noodles (soaked in hot water for 20 minutes and drained) ▢ 3 scallions ▢ 1 pack enoki mushrooms (stems removed) ▢ 2 cups water, dashima broth, or beef broth ▢ 1 teaspoon soy sauce Instructions If using packaged pre-sliced meat, separate the slices. Remove any excess blood from the pre-sliced meat using paper towels. Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Place the meat and vegetables in a large bowl. Add the marinade and toss gently to combine everything well. Marinate the meat for 30 minutes to an hour, up to overnight. Grilling: Grill the meat on a charcoal or gas grill or pan fry in a skillet over high heat until slightly caramelized. If pan searing, preheat the pan nice and hot and cook the meat until slightly caramelized. Do not crowd the skillet. OR Stir-frying: Preheat the pan, and add the meat over high meat. You can crowd the pan to generate some liquid and let the meat cook in its own juice. Cook until the meat is no longer pink. Use all the marinade if you want some sauce at the end. To serve bulgogi Seoul-style Thinly slice the scallions. Season 2 cups of water or broth with 1 teaspoon of soy sauce. Heat the pan, and add the bulgogi and top it with the scallions and mushrooms. Add about half of the broth around the edges of the pan along with the noodles. Add more liquid when the liquid level goes down as you cook.
Best true crime comedy podcast ever!!
I’ve been listening since the show came out and every episode is so incredibly well researched. Even when Kent and Op cover topics I thought I knew everything about, Kent will enlighten me with additional details I never knew! I love these guys and their Patreon is the only subscription I have ever paid for. The content from 11:59 media is unparalleled!!
I listen to this podcast religiously…
…but on Spotify, however, I just wanted to come over here to share how much I love Kent, The Op, and Jack. You guys have gotten me through a lot of dark times. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. All of your shows provide the MOST hilarious, brutal, in depth true crime content. I love you guys! Xoxo PS Monsturo was in my top 5 favorite podcasts. RIP. You can catch these hands if you disagree!
Binge worthy
I binged this series and it was well worth it. The banter between the Operator and Ken is amazing.
Wow
Even though dark topic is the first 11:59 media show I’ve listened to, this one is my favorite (soorry Jack I still love your show very much🖤) Kent’s unabashed hill billyness makes me feel right at home. (I’m a northern redneck and I’ve lived in the south. We’re all the same despite popular belief.)
