Seriously Mr. Chungus, you and that silly boy Jack Luna have single handedly gotten me through the hardest time of my life. Many times when things got/get really bad I know I can turn on a podcast you’re involved with and get a good belly laugh, man, thank you, thank you. I don’t know what I would’ve done seriously it makes me emotional just typing this. Plus I’m from Pikeville, KY originally and I’m far far away from home so hearing your accent reminds me of hangin with my boys so kinda makes me a little less home sick.

The longer I listen to this, the more I realize Kent is like the true crime Theo Von. He’s got some out of pocket things he says that just crack me up even if it does get a little dark. This podcast isn’t for you if you get offended super easily. Overall, the story telling is great and you can tell Kent does A LOT of research. Joe and Jess are great additions. Mostly just there for quips and questions, but it wouldn’t be the same without them.

Love listening to this podcast details matter! The humor is dark but light. Great show.

Love this podcast, Kent’s sense of humor is like being with an old friend that knows all of your old funny stories.

You didn’t mention the documentary 77 minutes concerning the shooting. Did you watch it? It was very disturbing bc it showed the dead bodies laying on the floor. Great show I honestly know more about the man behind it than what I learned in the documentary. You are so thorough in your research - I even learned something I didn’t know about Jim Jones and I thought I’d heard everything about in in the massive coverage over Jonestown.

Kent, Joe & Jess are fantastic. Kent’s story telling is phenomenal, the commentary is chef’s kiss! 🤌🏻 Hilarious, sarcastic, and the amount of information is WILD. Kent doesn’t just throw this show together, you can really appreciate the detail that goes into each episode. I especially love how Kent will even go as far as to find, research, and explain the current state and history of the locations in which these events occurred. Keep it up guys!

Best podcast out there. KC does his research and makes us laugh…which to be fair is our favorite part. The show has gotten better over the years too. Love you guys and keep up the good work. Me and my husband listen together.

Absolutely Love!!

Hands down my favorite true crime podcast. TCK was recommended to me when Kent covered Columbine and I have since joined the Patreon and binged every episode. Love the humor and love the banter between him and the various hosts. The research is extremely detailed and his passion for each case shines through.

I only discovered this a few months ago and not only have I caught up on ALL episodes including TCK case files and Brutal but I am also a Patreon and even have some TCK swag. Thank you for all of the research, sarcasm, laughter and transparency. You’re amazing!

Longtime TCK listener. I listen on Patreon (SO worth the money if you’re ever considering it). I love Kent and his work so much that I decided to pop over here and write a review. Kent is so witty, so funny, so real, and SO great at what he does. The amount of research and care he puts into every episode absolutely blows me away. The whole team is so great. I’ve listened to A LOT of true crime podcasts over many years and nothing touches TCK.

Just listening to the Steven Avery episodes. I saw the original “documentary” and was sure of Avery’s innocence. But after listening to your in depth reporting, I realize I was fooled. Keep in mind, I am an elderly female liberal, just this side of communist, and always will be. I am embarrassed by what these filmmakers did to ruin lives and put unfounded outrage into viewers. But their actions are NOT because they were ‘liberals’. They’re just manipulative and devious people who should have been thoroughly vetted before that garbage was aired. And Joe, I think you’re awesome and an excellent companion commenter for Kent, and I get your frustration with defense lawyers in the face of overwhelming evidence, but our system doesn’t work without them. I hope none of us ever needs one, but if you do, you’ll have one. All that said, thank you both, and Jess too, for producing a show that I eagerly anticipate above all others!

Kent I believe in my heart of hearts that you are definitely a GOAT. I love your content, I love listening to you and Jack, Joe, and Jess. My favorites are with Jack due to the dark humor y’all bring out in each other. Makes the days a little easier. Keep them coming.

Kent has a unique sense of humor but one that definitely works for me. The revolving co-hosts play so well off of him. The research is phenomenal…. up there with Last Podcast on the Left and Small Town Murder. One of my favorites!

I have so much respect for Kent (and Jack Luna) for their self reflection, accountability, and honesty with 1159. Became a fan mid way last year (2025) but I'm an even bigger fan now. The thorough research really comes through with just the perfect amount of humor to break up the heaviness.
