Kent is a lot smarter than he sounds

Kent is witty, hilarious and engaging. I’ve been a listener since October of 2020 (started on Spotify and then shifted to Patreon). TCK is unmatched to any other true crime podcast. The effort put into his research, scripts and production is top notch. Kent has always remained himself, never shifting personalities despite gained listenership. His authenticity is why I continue to listen. This is not a one size fits all type podcast but if you want raw and non pc true crime content, then this may be your next greatest find. ❤️

I’m not going to drop my 5 star rating for now but the last 4 episodes where pitiful, so much school boy humour, in the end I was just struggling through it praying it would get better, sadly it didn’t. Kent and Jack need to be separated before True Crime Kent crashes and burns. Come on Kent you are much better than this.

I have followed Kent since the early episodes of Brutal with Jack Luna. I saw the evolution from Brutal, to Gallows, back to Brutal and TCK as well. While I think Jack may be the best writer in true crime, Kent may be the most thorough researcher in the genre, and by far the funniest voice in the scene. Somehow, Kent will get laughs from the most grotesque moments in stories and still keep it tasteful, most of the time. I’ve meant to write this review for a long time, but I was pushed to do so when Kent mentioned mixing Texas Pete hot sauce with ranch for pizza. This is EXACTLY what I do, and it’s absolutely not even close to the only shared opinion we have. Long live TCK, long live Kent. And long live the Jack/Kent duo, which is a shining star in a dark genre.

BTW LOVE JOE! It’s obvious he is HOT! I stand behind this observation! More of him please!

The perfect mix of deep dive true crime and comedy! It’s so refreshing to hear old school dark humour where we can laugh at everyone including ourselves.

I always thought crime shows, podcast, documentaries were a subtle hint your wife gave you to do better, so I never gave them much of a chance… Until TCK changed the game!!! Love the podcast Kent I listen daily. Keep cranking the episodes out!

Love this! Never know which direction this podcast will go, BUT no matter the direction it’s always great! Especially with the details about the placed, houses etc

I abandon any podcast I am in the middle of when a new episode of TCK drops. I love the depth, the dark humor, and (as a native of Southern WV) THE ACCENT!!!

Kent chungus is in my dream blunt rotation. He is absolutely unapologetically hilarious and has such dedication for research. Op talks too much for too long about too little, he doesn’t say much of anything but seems to be talking for minutes on end even if I spam the skip button, but he’s palatable and not in it as often anymore. Kent for king.

If you like a mix between C*mtown and Last Podcast on the Left you came to the right place! I’ve binged all episodes and like the Southern charm Kent adds to each crime! Thank you for being blunt, Kent! Also love hearing from Op, Jack, and Joe, stay golden you guys!

For me, podcasts live or die on several things. Most importantly, the voice (vocal fry people, consider a different career, ok?), personality and ability to engage the listener, empathy towards the victims and the criminals and a sense of humor. A funny/annoying sidekick (looking at you Op!) is a bonus and True Crime Kent, for me is top notch. For the curious about TCK, start with Gorilla Man and Carl Panzram. Kent and Op manage to inject the episodes with a ton of humor, humanity and insight, without going overboard. Kent is absolutely hilarious, smart and knows these cases inside/out (always citing source material, if you want more detail). He takes no prisoners with the humor - it is truly hilarious and he includes himself as a target. If you like your podcasts to be fun, very informative and narrated well, give this a shot. The Panzram 6 part series is a masterpiece. I love Op too, a perfect foil for TCK! Op adds a ton to each episode, the contrast between Kent (Kentucky Fried, brilliant miscreant) and Op (expert in coin collecting and numismatics). So you get random coin/currency facts for free as a bonus). So much hugs to all of you at 11:59 media. ♥️

Let me get that Intro song purdy please. Seriously great podcast. Can’t get enough.

I love me some TCK!!! He tells truths and digs deep into some true crime stories!!! I’m a very big fan of Joe also. He’s quite insightful, and very funny as well!! Kent “Chungas” digs deep and tells a good story!!! He has a foul mouth; which I appreciate!!! My son is an active duty U.S. Marine currently!!!

I get it Joe is smart and can fly a plane. Now shut up and let Kent tell the story.
